1. Can I use my own insoles in GIESSWEIN shoes?
Yes, it's very easy! The insoles can be removed from all GIESSWEIN shoes. This is extremely practical, as it allows orthopaedic insoles or custom insoles to be inserted without any problems – even if they are not from GIESSWEIN. This is a real bonus for anyone who values a personal fit or medical support.
2. Do GIESSWEIN shoes need to be waterproofed?
Not necessarily – Merino wool is naturally water-repellent. If a few drops of rain hit your shoes, they simply roll off. This makes them particularly easy to care for. Only those who want to be on the safe side or are often out and about in wet conditions can use an additional nano spray for wool. But basically, the shoes can withstand a lot!
3. Can I wash GIESSWEIN shoes in the washing machine?
Yes – many models are machine washable! Simply wash at 30 degrees on a wool cycle (no spin!) in a laundry bag. This makes cleaning super easy. Please note: Not all shoes are machine washable. Models such as the Retro Runner or the Organic Sneaker should be washed by hand. You will always find all care instructions in the product description or on the label inside the shoe.
